Generally journalists are less interested in covering one-week shows unless you can provide an interesting story, or you can assure them there will be “interesting” people at a private view. If you are on a tight budget it might be an idea to target leads or newspapers you think would be interested, in place of investing in blanket coverage. It is most important to remember that publicity needs to be submitted to the publication no later than 4 months before your exhibition (for coverage in Quarterlies).
Hanging & Paint
Chelsea Gallery provides a hanging system of white, wires with adjustable hooks that attach to the picture rail, which runs around the gallery. This is to be the sole means of hanging works. Chelsea Gallery cannot allow lessees to make their own holes in the gallery walls. All marks to paintwork acquired during your exhibition are to be made good before the end of the hire period. The gallery supplies white paint for this purpose.

The gallery staff should be informed if we are running short of bags. · Rubbish is collected at midnight on Monday, and Thursdays, and should not be put out until 5.00pm each evening, in order to maintain the high standard of presentation for which the Chelsea area is renowned
